From 1st February 2011 the company you knew as MIS Corporate Defence Solutions or MIS CDS will now be known as SecureData.

Two and a half years ago SecureData Holdings made a significant investment into our business securing a majority share holding, the rebrand of MIS CDS acknowledges how close the businesses within the group have become during that period. The group will now consist of South African based distributor SecureData Africa, UK based service provider and product integrator SecureData (formerly MIS CDS) and the international penetration testing company Sensepost.

Only the name has changed, the office locations are the same, all the staff remain with no changes to the board of the UK based operation.

There are a number of benefits operating as SecureData: The product portfolio for the businesses in the group are the same. The group companies offer a unified range of services across the complete portfolio providing our global customers with a consistent experience. The group has more than 150 qualified technical heads providing the scalability required to deliver the most complex solution. We operate in the same business region, the rebrand will result in a unified presence with a stronger market position across the territories we service. The financial strength of the group provides a solid basis for continued growth, both organic and via acquisition. There are also softer benefits; allowing for freer transfer of personnel and skills, the fact that no matter who you meet now from the group you will get a consistent business card and importantly the name actually reflects what we do as a business much better.

The businesses are so close now that this was a logical step, the rebrand will further strengthen our position in our chosen markets, allowing us to continually service our customers by providing SecureData.
